Rings. I love them. My enagement ring and wedding band are vintage hand me downs from my great grandmother Ella Marie Golinski. The diamonds were cut cira 1890. I love wearing them because it ties my past to my future and to me is a symbol of love transcending. That said, the rings have taken some wear and tear and my jeweler recommends shelving them, as the main diamond is cracked and bands are week. Definitley not recommended for the hands of a nurse. So, I'm looking around for creative options...for when my hubby and I decide to make our own heirloom. Maybe something we can pass on to our kids as our symbol of love. Cheesy I know. But I've only been married for just over 6 months...so I'm entitled to the cheese! ;)
Here are some rings I find inspirational.

I like the top two. I can see you with the top one for sure. The last one, although very unique and artistic... I just don't see it as a replacement for your ring.
ReplyDeleteYeah. None of them will replace my ring....just using them as inspiration. I want to create my next ring with my hubby not replicate anything.
