Difficult times calls for us to be frugal and careful. So what is this pay it forward? I heard that recently there the pay it forward movement from the movie in 2000 starring Kevin Spacey and Haley Joel Osment, is back. People are paying for the person behind them in the starbucks line or at the toll booth. I experienced it myself yesterday in the hospital cafeteria. My card wouldn't swipe and the lady behind me offered to buy me breakfast. She started to tell about how she didn't have money to pay for her coffee the other day and a person in line with her was kind enough to buy it for her. She thought it was so nice she was returning the favor. Luckily my card swiped through and I kindly thanked the lady for her kindness. As I started to walk away I was accosted by an old lady who said "Shame on you! You stole her blessing. Her gift to you was a blessing for herself. You should have said thank you and taken her gift."
Is it the thought or the action that counts? I believe the lady will still receive a blessing.

You should have let her pay, then paid it forward. Kind of the idea ;)
