A music video

My husband showed this music video to me yesterday and I thought I'd share it here.

Allergy to Nickle?

I was meandering through Mission district yesterday with my hubby and we stopped in to check out what was new at The Bell Jar. My husband field produces the On Demand Comcast episodes such as Best of the City occaionally and this was how we discovered this ecclectic boutique. If I owned a house and could afford an interior decorator I would hire Sasha Wingate (the owner). I told her on our last visit that I want my house to look as lovely as her store and she said "hire me"! And maybe someday I will!

While at the Bell Jar, I mentioned my allergy to nickle and thus most silver jewelry to the sales guy. It's gotten so bad that I'm allergic to the little silver studs in jeans! He suggested applying clear acrylic nail polish to items with silver that I want to wear as this is a trick his mother, who suffers from the same allergy, has learned. So I'm sharing this tip. I'm so glad there is a solution. I'm doing this first thing in the morning to my favorite pair of Joes jeams! No longer will I have to wear spanks with them to protect me from the small silver studs! You can even apply to the hooks on earrings.

Valentines Day

I first saw this Pyrrha Winged Heart Seal Necklace in a St. Helena boutique, Pennaluma. I wanted to let myself fall in love with it but the price tag made me pretend indifference. It was just after Christmas and shortly after our wedding. Besides the sales lady tried to sell it to me with a "Brad Pitt and Jodie Foster wear these necklaces". It took the appeal right out of it and made it less unique.

I stumbled upon the necklace again this while browsing for a valentines day present for myself on Amazon.com. My husband is having me pick out my own gift this year by adding things I want to wishpot for him to select from. I love him so!
The symbols on each necklace are cast from authentic 19th century wax seal. Every design has a symbolic meaning taken from family heraldry. I have allowed myself to fall in love with it! Will my husband pick this off my wishpot? I can't wait to find out.
